Sarah Cosgrove Gaumond, MFA (actor/writer) is an award-winning actor and writer who trained with Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sarah was Jeff nominated for her performance as Linda in Savage in Limbo with Chicago’s Inn Town Theater Company and acted in the films A League of Their Own and La Stanza Acconto. She is a two-time recipient of the John Cauble Award for Excellence in One-Act Playwriting from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region IV for her plays North Wind and I Live to Tell and was awarded a 2025 Artist & Scholars Project Grant from the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County, Maryland. As Social Media Manager for The Future is Female Festival, Sarah assisted in creating a new play festival which took place at 27 outposts in 18 cities with new work by over 130 women, including her play, It Would Have to be a Girl, at Chicago Dramatists.  Other works include You'd Be So Much Prettier If You...with The Women’s Performance Workshop at Strand Theater Company in Baltimore, unspoken at Hollins Playwrights Festival of New Works at Mill Mountain Theatre, and Marina and The Unusual Fish, co-written with Triza Cox for The Drama Lady Theatre Group. Sarah earned an M.F.A. in Playwriting from Hollins University and B.S. in Theatre from Illinois State University. She is a former member of The Playwrights Cohort at PlayPenn in Philadelphia and a current member of The Dramatist Guild. Sarah and her sisters continue their family’s legacy with Cosgrove Distributors, a female owned and operated business located in Spring Valley, Illinois and established by their grandfather, Harry A. Cassiday, in 1912.
